DEFRAGMENT YOUR PC

 DEFRAGMENT YOUR PC

Fragments are the holes produced in the storage devices due to continuous deletion and copying of files and folders. Holes are created as memory slots in which no file can be stored and are a wastage of memory. Too many holes can lead to unnecessary wastage of memory.

Defragmenting the disk is the process in which these memory holes are removed by placing the files that are stored in continuous form one after the other and close to each other. The defragmenting process is slower but not at all heavy. So you should be patient during this process.

Now read below to see how to defragment the disk.

HOW TO FIX A PRINTER

The problem we would be discussing is "WINDOWS CANNOT CONNECT TO THE PRINTER. ACCESS IS DENIED."

One of the unusual errors which happens in Windows Vista while trying to get a printout from a shared printer is the above error that Windows Cannot connect to the printer. Access is denied.

This is the most recurring error in Windows Vista whenever you try to connect to the printer even when you may think that everything is perfectly done and there is no problem. This problem can show up even when you are able to see the printer on the network and everything is allright.

Even every other thing like shared files, internet access et al seems to work properly but still you are not able to access the required printer to print.

USE A USB HUB

We all know that we are already having 4 USB slots on our mother board and in some new PC's we got 2 extra slots for USB at the front panel of the CPU. In normal conditions we don't require extra USB connections or its rare that someone is trying to connect more than four USB devices at the same time. But in such a if you need to connect more than 6 devices on your PC you can use a device called USB HUB.

A USB HUB is a device that expands a single USB port to many USB port so that more devices can be connected to that USB port. There are many types of USB HUB in the market. The most commonly used are 4 port and 7 port USB HUB devices.A 4 port USB HUB can cost you 30$ and a 7 port USB HUB can cost you around 40 $.
This USB HUB shown below is a 4 port USB HUB.

WHEN TO ADD MORE RAM

WHEN TO ADD MORE RAM

These things depend on the programs installed and the programs that you are going to install in your PC. There are other factors on which memory depends but if you are going to install a program than you must know the requirements of the program and how much memory it needs. If you are installing a program with memory requirement of 1 GB and you are having 512 MB of memory installed on your mother board than you are not fair to the program because you are not feeding it properly. It will not starve due to low memory but will decrease the performance of your PC to fulfill its needs. This will lead to loss of performance.
